Livestock Tag Reader Rebate
The Traceability Adoption Program includes a Livestock Tag Reader Rebate sub-program which offers a rebate to livestock operators who purchase and install approved tag readers.

National Farm Animal Care Council Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Sheep

The purpose of the Association is to encourage
a general and constant improvement in sheep breeding
and a better organization of the interests of
Purebred Sheep Breeders of the Province.

  • By encouraging education, communication, promotion and dissemination of information by and among sheep producers of the Province.
  • By holding or assisting to hold competitive exhibitions and sales.
  • By co-operation with the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Food and Agriculture Canada.
  • By holding meetings to discuss matters of importance to the sheep industry of the Province.
  • By co-operation with the Exhibition and Live Stock Association and Societies to advance the interests of the Live Stock industry generally, with special reference to the interest of the sheep industry.

BCPSBA supports the standards of care as set out in the Code of Practice for Sheep.
