General Appearance:
- Large sized sheep
- Good body length and muscle conformation
- Rams strongly masculine, Ewes distinctly feminine
- Mature body weight; Rams 100-135 kg
- Ewes 70-90 kg

Head:
- Open faced
- Free of wool around and under eyes
- Ears broad relatively short and thick
- Polled or horned

Neck:
- Sturdy and free of wrinkles

Shoulders:
- Trim, smooth and well rounded

Chest:
- Deep and full
- Moderate width between forelegs

Back, Loin and Rump:
- Back long, level and broad
- Loin long and wide
-Thick, natural flesh throughout

Feet and Legs:
- Legs well set on corners, straight, strong and thickly muscled
- Pasterns strong and upright
- Hooves white

Fleece:
-Dense, long and uniform over whole body
- No more than two grades drop on britch
- Bright, clean, free from other fibres
- Fine and white
